Hillsborough Park Nature Adventure
8-13 year olds
Sunday 26th January 10am-2pm

to pre-book your space!

  • A day of nature fun based in Hillsborough Park. Expect a wildlife treasure hunt, nature games and challenges, setting up a nature camp, animal & plant observation and surveying using ecology equipment - and many other outdoor fun ideas as they come up!

This is a child-only camp: we expect parents and carers to drop their child off at 10, and pick them up at 2.

  • Both drop-off at 10am, and pick-up at 2pm are at Hillsborough Park’s teenage playground, just down from Hillsborough Library. Look out for Cam in her pink bobble hat!

This is a child-only camp so parents and carers cannot stay for the activities - we invite you to take some time for yourself while your children are learning and having fun.

    • Please ensure your child(ren) bring(s) a packed lunch.  Alternatively, they can order food at the Depot Bakery (£7-8.50 for a sandwich, £4.50 for a slice of toast with a topping) - if so, make sure they bring money with them. We will provide some light snacks and fruit.

    • Bring a filled water bottle.

    • Wear warm clothes that you don't mind getting messy – the camp takes place outside for the whole day so please make sure your child(ren) are dressed warmly enough.

    • Wear sturdy shoes and socks.

    • Bring a raincoat.

    • Bring a warm hat and gloves if possible.

    • We would suggest that your child doesn't need to bring a phone and we will be asking children who do have phones to leave them in their bags except during the lunch break. This helps the young people truly immerse themselves in the activities and the fun & calm of spending time in nature. If you'd like to contact us, please call Cam directly on my mobile 07774 954 246.

  • We want to make Cam’s Camp financially accessible. So we're offering 2 price options.

    • For those who can afford £20 per child we would be very grateful if you're able to pay this amount as it's what we need to cover the costs of running the camp.

    • However, we'd love for as many young people as possible to have the opportunity to take part, so if this is not affordable to you, you have the option of paying £10 per day per child.

What Cam’s Camps have already taken place?

Cam delivered wildlife treasure hunts, nature games and animal care activities alongside her colleagues, as part of Heeley City Farm’s summer playscheme this August 2024. It was an amazing week of discoveries and new friendships!

What parents said:

“My daughter had the best 2 days at the farm at their playscheme. She said it is the best holiday club she's been to...ever! She can't wait to go again” - Sarah Baird.

Review of the day is 5 stars. My daughter absolutely loved the day from start to finish. She even made a video of it to send her grandparents. I would recommend to anyone and my daughter will definitely be back” - Jenny Lastra.
